Scarlet Johnson and Disney law suit reaches final Conclusions
Scarlet Johnson who plays the role of Natasha Romanoff aka, Black widow finally reaches the conclusion of her lawsuit against Disney. The incident took place when Disney plays the movie on his streaming website simultaneously release with the theaters.
The main lead role Scarlet Johnson argues that Disney’s publishing of video on his streaming website caused her loss in theaters as the movie was available online. For making Disney compensate her for the loss sustained she filed a suit in court.
Black widow was a hit but due to the streaming of movies and the corona virus pandemic, it will make a less score in theaters.
Scarlet Johnson also plays lead roles in many marvel series movies and the interest of Disney and Scarlet are on parallel lines as both are not in a condition to leave each other.
The launch of Black Widow was already delayed 1 year because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. On the initial release of the movie on the 9th of July, the movie was take off in a positive way as in the first week it earned $80 Million dollars in North America and $78 Million dollars in theaters.
In the second week, the movie sees a sharp decline in its revenue after its streaming online by Disney this is why Scarlet Johnson filed the Lawsuit against Disney.
Now in court after representing their viewpoints against each other the Disney and Scarlet have resolved their differences and show their enthusiasm to work on future projects with each other.
Disney at the time said the lawsuit had “no merit whatsoever,” adding that it was “especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Alan Bergman Disney Studio’s Chairmain said in an Interview that we are pleased that things come to mutual consent.
