He started his first company Zip2 with his brother Kimball. Those were the starting days of Musk’s Journey. He rented a small office for his business in Palo Alto and also sleeps there as he has no money to pay the rent of the apartment. He and his brother have only one computer for working and Musk says in a “The website was up to during the day and I was coding it at night, seven days a week, all the time”.
Paypal’s Role in Musk Success Journey
Compaq acquired the website in 1999 and musk receives a share of $22 Million Dollar against his 7% Stake in the company. Musk co-founded PayPal in 1990 after the sale of Zip2. Musk wanted to be the CEO of PayPal but investors didn’t let it happen. Later, eBay bought PayPal for $1.5 Billion. Musk received over $100 Million against his shares in Paypal.
SpaceX & Tesla In Elon’s Sucess

The real success journey of Elon Musk begins when he moves towards making his first private space company. In May 2002 Space X comes into existence. His approach is towards making affordable Space flights. He wants to build rockets with landing capabilities. Musk is a visionary person and he has the vision to make people multi-planetary.
Musk didn’t stop his progress upto SpaceX, he also involves himself in making Electric vehicles and was involved with Tesla. The name of Tesla is after the name of Nikola Tesla who invented electricity. In 2008, Musk both companies are near to bankruptcy, that was the darkest Era of the musk life. He left with such equity that people advised he only saves his one company but musk invested that amount in both of the companies. Despite all the odds he managed to survive both SpaceX and Tesla.
