Metaverse is going to put an end to the Internet
We are living in the era of digital advancements. In 1995, when the internet was invented it will spread like a wildfire and change the world. But the time has come when the Era of the Internet is passing away. We are going to enter into a new world of Connectivity with 3-dimensional virtual reality called Metaverse. Before I dig deep into it first you have to understand, what Metaverse actually is?
What is a Metaverse?
Metaverse is an Online World where people would use different devices to move and communicate in a virtual environment.
On the internet, we usually came across each other through our social media profiles. We have sites to buy things where different sellers are selling like Amazon, eBay, etc. Apps to connect with each other like Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.
But these all sites are in 2d dimension but a Metaverse is a 3-dimensional world like you have seen in PUBG, Roblox, etc. The Metaverse is a virtual reality world with your digital avatar and you can move into it, buy things, attend meetings and work in it. It is an extreme form of virtual reality that is going to bring better communication among humans.
Internet is run on codes that different websites have, but a Metaverse is run through engines. Metaverse is still existing but it is more used in games and the biggest engine which is running Metaverse so far is unity (Gamming).
You can consider it as a virtual world that is quite similar to our original world which you can access by wearing VR goggles and controllers.
Following are the Facts which indicates that the Metaverse is going to be a part of our daily life:
Cryptocurrencies
Cryptocurrencies have made Metaeverse a step forward to become a reality. You can imagine Cryptocurrencies in Metaverse as a Virtual World where people can trade using virtual currencies. Looking deeper into cryptocurrencies they don’t have any actual value. Crypto values depend upon the perception of the users. What will be the value of a particular currency?
It is all a matter of fact that how people think about a currency, its feasibility, and the market trends.
Upland – Rebuild the World- A Block Chain Based game
Upland is a virtual world where people are buying and selling properties on the basis of real-world digital addresses online, an extreme form of Metaverse assets. A Silicon Valley-based company introduce the game upland where users can buy properties using their credit cards and digital currencies.
How terrifying it is that people are buying things which aren’t real?
By buying digital properties people can build properties and earn UPX Coins. The project uses blockchain technology to bind each property within the Upland platform to an NFT.
The concept of Upland is based on Kids Game Monopoly and Netflix series the Stranger thing said by its owner in an Interview.
Gaming World the Real Founders of Metaverse
The software houses that develop games are the innovators of Metaverse. The world is now full of many games with virtual worlds scenarios where people come and play together in a coordinated fashion. Gamming Metaverse not only allows users to play but also gives the opportunity to buy virtual things in the games.
As per Forbes Gammers nearly spent 10.4 Million years playing Fortnite. Such a massive amount of time people is giving to games shows the affection of humankind to virtual realities. Researchers believe that there are many things that people are not able to do in real life but they are able to do it in Metaverse. This makes it much more than the natural world and leads people to escape their real lives to the virtual realities.
There are many games built in a Metaverse with Millions of users that enter into such virtual realities daily here are a few examples of the most popular one’s:
- Robolox
- Fortnite

These are just a few biggest games.
Facebook Announces the creation of Metaverse

Impact of COVID-19 and the Need for Virtual World
Digitalization was already happening before COVID-19 but still, it boosted the world towards digitalization so rapidly that no one ever imagine it. During the pandemic, businesses faced difficulty in their operations and conducting meetings. The Zoom and other apps were there but the internet cannot be as feasible as a Metaverse. This creates the need for a virtual world not only for gaming but also for working and Facebook is going to work on it.
All these factors indicate how Metaverse is coming into our lives and going to become a reality and become a part of our daily routines.
